    November 12, 2024
(Honolulu, Hawaii) November 7, 2024 – The Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) has recently been honored with the Outstanding Organization award by the Law Enforcement and Security Coalition of Hawaii, a recognition bestowed during the 2024 TOP COP Hawaii award ceremony. On October 18, 2024, VASH President & CEO Jessica Lani Rich accepted this prestigious award from Event Chair Ed Howard of Pax Bello Security Solutions Hawaii, LLC and Treasurer Jason Kelley of Allied Universal.

This recognition emphasizes the vital role VASH plays in the community by providing support to visitors facing adversity during their time on the islands. The Coalition highlighted VASH's commitment to embodying the spirit of aloha, a core value of Hawaiian culture that emphasizes kindness and mutual respect. The organization focuses on assisting visitors who experience hardships, such as being victims of crime or encountering other unfortunate circumstances. By offering support, VASH not only helps individuals navigate their hardships but also reinforces the idea that Hawaii is a place where kindness and hospitality prevail, even in challenging times.

VASH's work creates a sense of community that benefits both locals and visitors. Receiving this award not only acknowledges their past efforts but also motivates VASH to continue expanding its services and support. This honor not only recognizes their hard work but also inspires the organization to continue being a source of hope in Hawaii.

VASH was founded in 1997 by the Rotary Club of Honolulu to address gaps in the hospitality industry on Oahu and the neighboring islands. Through strong partnerships with local agencies, businesses, and foundations, VASH has developed into a dedicated organization committed to sharing aloha with everyone in need. The organization provides a comprehensive range of services, including help for those who have experienced crime or adversity in Hawaii, along with unique social services and products that set it apart from the competition.
