Memorable events at Keauhou Shopping Center celebrate start of a new school year

KAILUA-KONA-HI-July, 1, 2022 – The start of a new school year can bring about excitement, whether through reconnecting with friends or preparing for a year full of new things to learn. As students and teachers return to the classrooms, Keauhou Shopping Center is providing the community with different ways to celebrate the fresh start of a new school year. Through a selection of upcoming events, guests
will be able to savor the last moments of summer and prepare for school in style.

“We are thrilled to prepare kids, families, and educators in the Kailua-Kona community for this coming school year,” said Colene DeMello General Manager at Keauhou Shopping Center “We are excited to work with our tenants and community, and at Keauhou Shopping Center we want to support guests and provide ways to celebrate the start of a new year in the classroom.”

To help local students and educators prepare for the upcoming year, Keauhou Shopping Center will host a Back-To-School Supply Drive on Friday, July 1 to Saturday, July 30. Guests are encouraged to drop off a variety of school supply items at participating tenants to benefit the school districts within the community. We are excited to partner with Get Ready Hawai`i. "When I was named Executive Director in July of 2017 the first corporate partner I established was Keauhou Shopping Center. The center has been invaluable in supporting our programs and the children we serve, and we are thrilled to continue to partner with Keauhou Shopping Center as we all work to serve the children of West Hawai`i," said Executive Director Jeff Gourley. Children will also have the opportunity to celebrate going back to school through the KidX Club® Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 30, 2021 from 10 AM-1 PM. The event will feature keiki crafts, yard games, photo booth, balloon twisting, giveaways and more. Eventbrite registration will go live on July 16, 2022. Registration required. Get Ready Hawai`i will be on property and can assist families that need supplies for the upcoming school year.

From end of summer celebrations to school year preparations and everything in between, Keauhou Shopping Center’s back-to-school events are sure to offer a unique and memorable experience for every guest.
