Celebrate the Magic of the Holidays at Kona Commons!

Kona Commons Shopping Center is transforming into a festive wonderland this holiday season! Starting December 1, the community is invited to enjoy nightly snowfalls, appearances by holiday characters, a snowman scavenger hunt, and heartwarming seasonal entertainment.

Let It Snow Every Night!

The magic of winter comes to Kailua-Kona with nightly snowfalls at Kona Commons! From December 1 to December 24, snow will fall every half hour between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in front of Jeans Warehouse, creating a picture-perfect holiday moment for families and friends alike.

A Visit from Holiday Friends

Mark your calendars for three special Saturdays—December 7, 14, and 21—when holiday cheer takes center stage! From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., holiday characters will parade through the shopping center, bringing laughter and handing out candy canes to keiki. Don’t miss the chance to take a festive family photo using fun props and the snowfall as a backdrop.

The Snowman Scavenger Hunt

Join the first-ever Snowman Scavenger Hunt at Kona Commons from December 1 to December 20! Here’s how it works:

• Discover hidden snowman plushies scattered throughout the shopping center.
• Snap photos of the snowmen you find.
• Share your photos on social media, tagging @KonaCommons and using  #snowmanscavengerhunt.

Each post enters you into a drawing for one of ten (10) $100 gift card packs from Kona Commons merchants. Winners will be announced on December 21, and prizes will be ready for pick-up on December 22—just in time for last-minute holiday shopping and gift giving! Multiple entries are encouraged, but only one prize pack can be won per person.

Sounds of the Holidays

Holiday music adds to the seasonal magic at Kona Commons. Enjoy these special performances:

• Wednesday, December 11, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Christmas caroling by the Kona Choral Society
• Monday, December 16 and Monday, December 23, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Festive favorites performed by the Kona Brass Quintet
