ED Message: Added Value to Your Membership

Business First! Pau Hana

Aloha Chamber Members!

I have exciting news to share with you!

On March 1st, with the support of the Board of Directors and the Membership committee, the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce (KKCC) signed an agreement with the Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻi (COCH) to join the Laulima Partnership. This partnership engages and unifies business members in chambers across the state in advocacy efforts to support business on all islands. Our advocacy efforts will strengthen statewide if we laulima, or bring our many hands together, to support business as a larger voice.

The benefits of this collaborative partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻi, the state’s largest chamber of commerce, and our Chamber are to:

  • Strengthen the positive and beneficial relationships that exist among the chambers across Hawai‘i
  • Increase the legislative and political involvement and effectiveness of Hawaiʻi’s small business community
  • Increase the opportunity to provide beneficial programs and services to Chamber members

All active members of KKCC that employ 10 or fewer employees and have no business operations outside of Hawaiʻi Island, receive complimentary membership with the Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻi. Active KKCC members that employ 11 or more employees and have no business operations outside of Hawaiʻi Island, receive a special $100 membership rate.

In addition to benefiting from business advocacy efforts and joining the collective Voice of Business in Hawaiʻi, Laulima members will receive networking and professional benefits, members’ services and marketing and promotional opportunities.

This partnership will provide added value to being a member of the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce. Our advocacy efforts are stronger as a larger organization and this partnership will further enhance our voice as we collectively advocate for you and your business!

Mahalo nui loa for your membership and support!
