ED Message: Getting Involved with Your Chamber

Business First! Pau Hana

Aloha Chamber Members!

It takes a village to get things done and volunteers invest their time and expertise to steer our organization in the right direction. What drives our organization to success is the help of our amazing community leaders who volunteer their time because they care to provide leadership and advocacy for a successful business environment in West Hawaiʻi.

Each day I’m grateful to have you as part of the Chamber ʻOhana because of all you do to make our organization stronger!

Our board members are volunteer leaders too! They represent different industry sectors in our community and live and work throughout West Hawaiʻi. They strategically plan and make decisions that positively help our Chamber and business community. Mahalo to our KKCC Board for all they do!

When I first started at the Chamber, I was inspired to hear from members the value they have received in getting involved! These stories all permeated around the following values:

  • You can connect to the business community.
  • You can engage with other business leaders.
  • Your expertise can add value to the Chamber.
  • You can build relationships that grow your business.

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Serve on a Committee – There are five committees that meet each month and you don’t have to come to the Chamber office to participate, join us virtually and call in to the meeting. Our Chamber committees are: Economic Development, Education & Workforce Development, Marketing, Membership and Sustainability. Learn more about our committees here.
  • Join the Ambassador Program – The primary goal of the ambassadors is to support our members. They assist at AfterHours to welcome and engage members. The Ambassadors also support other recruitment and retention efforts of the Chamber.
  • Volunteer to Help with Events – The Chamber hosts several events where an extra hand is greatly appreciated. The Living + Design Show, our annual fundraising event, is just around the corner on February 25th & 26th. If you are interested in volunteering to assist with setup, cleanup or registration at the Home Show, we would love your help!
