Kuleana Green Business Program
The first program of its kind in the state of Hawaii, the Chamber’s Kuleana Green Business Program promotes ethical business practices and environmental stewardship. The word “kuleana” is Hawaiian for right and responsibility. Hence, program members understand their duty as corporate citizens to commit to the “triple bottom line” of financial, social and environmental performance. Criteria for membership include product/service quality, community relation activities, customer service ideals, employee relations and eco-efficient business practices. Benefits of membership include use of program logo and inclusion in collective marketing campaigns.
