Chamber seeks Pūalu nominations; deadline is May 31
The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce (KKCC) is seeking nominations for its annual Pūalu Awards to recognize individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations which exemplify a commitment to the improvement and advancement of the West Hawai‘i community.
Pūalu means “to work together” in Hawaiian. Nominations for these prestigious awards are being accepted in seven categories:
Community Education | Environmental Awareness | Business Innovation | Lifetime Service | Culture & Heritage | Chamber Member of the Year | Visitor Industry Marketing Award
Click here to download the nomination form. Self-nominations are welcome and names of nominators will not be revealed. Nomination applications must be received by the Chamber office no later than Wednesday, May 31 at 4 p.m.
Award winners in each of the seven categories are honored at the Chamber’s Annual Installation and Awards luncheon at the Four Seasons Resort Hualālai on Friday, June 30.
KKCC has been recognizing community service and business leadership in the community for the past 32 years. This is the 14th year of the Chamber’s Pūalu Awards program.
