Join us for the 2017 HIplan, Hawaii Island Business Plan Competition Launch Event!
Friday, July 21, 5:30-7pm at Palamanui Campus Kona. No pre-registration required. Refreshments will be served.
Now in its second year, the Hawaii Island Business Plan Competition, or HIplan, is focused on fostering opportunity and generating excitement around innovation on our island. “HIplan is all about encouraging what we call an ‘entrepreneurial ecosystem’ here, one that promotes an entrepreneurial spirit across all of Hawaii Island – Kona to Kapoho, Kohala to Ka‘u,” said Jim Wyban, co-chairman of the competition and successful entrepreneur at NELHA.
HIplan offers a $25,000 prize for the best business plan presented at the competition to help start or grow an existing small business. It’s a joint venture supported by UH-Hilo and the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce.
The July 21 launch will feature Kona's own, Sam Choy, renown Chef-Entrepreneur who will discuss his entrepreneur experience and answer questions from audience about his experience. Click here for the flyer.
